I was down in San Diego a couple weekends ago visting my sister. We were having some good San Diego / Pacific Beach times together. We'd just returned from going to a concert in Oceanside (North County). It was a good show, my friends brother was playing in it. They're called Strike Twelve and were opening for the lead singer of Unwritten Law, Scott Russo. In an ominous sign, Scott's house completely burned down two days prior. It was crazy he was even playing the show. So, it was about 1:30 am, and I was hungry. My sister made me a delicious sandwich which I was planning on consuming with a tall glass of diet coke. As I reached to grab the glass, it began to fall. My instincts kick in and I use my ninja like ability to try to catch the glass. As the glass is falling, my left hand is trailing it... I might be a little too slow to catch it in time. Next thing I know, there's an explosion of glass. The pint glass had hit the counter top. I yank my hand away immediately. As the glass shatters I feel it touch my hand. As I turn my hand over to see the damage, then blood begins pouring out of the left index and middle fingers.

My sister invited me and a couple friends to participate in the 2nd Annual 12 Bars of Christmas pub crawl. So Jeff, Mal, Katie and myself headed down to beautiful San Diego. It started at 2pm at the Silver Fox, we made it around 2:30. My sister hooked Jeff and myself up with a couple of sweet christmas sweaters. The rule was to have at least one drink per bar and spend no more than an hour at each bar. The first bar was pretty packed, especially during daylight hours. There was probably about 30 of us wearing sweaters and ready to have good times.

After about 21 months and one jaw surgery later I finally got my braces off. Simply put I am pretty stoked about it. I am mostly excited about not worrying about getting food stuck in them all the time. I will be consuming some ribs, chicken wings and corn on the cobb soon too. I was pretty suprised how many people didn't realize I had braces in the first place. Some people just couldn't tell while others thought I was wearing a retainer. I recommend getting the clear braces if you don't want people to notice. The last thing face related would be hoping for feeling to come back in my lower lip. It's still numb from the jaw surgery. I guess you can't have it all. Thanks to everyone at Dr. Wright's and a special thanks to my girlfriend for dating me even though I had braces. That's paid off nicely for you, hasn't it?

This past weekend I got my first taste of Vegas with some friends. A co-worker, Andrew, who is also terrible at ping pong, told me that he and his roommate Pat, were going to Vegas. I thought that sounded awesome. He told me the MGM was about 60 bucks a night, and with allegiant air flying direct from SBA to LAS for about 100 bucks, the trip was falling into place. I mean, a weekend vacation for about 200 is a straight up deal. Thank you awful enconomy. If there's one thing thats sweet about the economy tanking is that there are some pretty sweet deals to be had. Anyways, the last piece we needed was to convince my buddy Joel to come along. With all of the shit talking the guy had on Laughlin he had to come with me to show me the ropes. Once he got the OK from his lady it was all systems go.

I head up to Portland to see my Dad every year for Thanksgiving. It's a nice vacation to relax, spend time with family, and eat lots of turkey. Recently, my Dad moved into a new house in northwest Portland. It was a pretty cool place that he spent a lot of time renevating. As I got picked up at the airport I was greeted by a new puppy. It was a half jack russel and half chihuahua. It was pretty sweet! Totally mellow and pretty smart too. I'm not much of an animal person but this little guy was sweet. The Thanksgiving meal was nice and so was spending time with my Dad, sister, and Chris.

A little over a year ago my roomate Jeff and I moved to downtown Santa Barbara. It was an amazing house which we were going to share with three other people. I knew one person and had met the other two just a couple of times. I was a little nervous living with a bunch of roommates, not to mention I didn't know them very well.
On the first day that we were all at the house we cracked open a few beers and looked off the balcony to a view of beautiful dowtown Santa Barbara. My new roomate Michael said that it was going to be the best year while living in S.B. I had just lived an amazing summer in Isla Vista, so I was pretty skeptical. Well, he was close, it wasn't the best year in S.B., it was the best 14 months!

About a month ago, my buddy Ryan and I took a trip out to the East Coast to catch a couple ballparks and a bunch of great memories. Go ahead and follow the link on the right side of my page that says photos and you can check them out. I recommend using the gallary's slideshow function. Well, enjoy and I'll try to put up a blog about the trip soon.
